Status and Specifications of OSEK/VDX

If there are questions on the project itself, the status or the specifications of OSEK/VDX, you can contact the coordinator of the project. Technical questions on the specifications will be answered by the working group leaders. The most frequently asked questions will be put here on the web.

• The current specifications are available. You will find the information how to get the files below.
  
  Operating System version 2.2 :
  The Operating System specification 2.2 was published in September 2001. This version is the base for ISO standardisation.
  
  Network Management version 2.5.1 :
  The Network Management specification changed from version 2.1 to version 2.5 in case of indirect Network Management. This change became necessary as new requirements for the interface to the Communication had been raised. In May 2000, the new version 2.5.1 was released, harmonising with the other OSEK/VDX specifications.
  
  Communication version 3.0 :
  Substantial changes: offers now a so-called 'signal based interface', distinguishes between sending and receiving message objects, does not define lower layers any more, and more. Refer to the full specification for all the changes
  
  OIL (OSEK Implementation Language) version 2.3.:
  Version 2.3 of OIL reflect the changes necessary to cover OS version 2.2.
  
  OSEKtime Operating System version 1.0:
  This is the first release of the specification for globally synchronised fault-tolerant architectures.
  
  OSEKtime Communication (FTCOM) version 1.0:
  This is the first release of the specification for globally synchronised fault-tolerant architectures.
  
  ORTI (OSEK Runtime Interface) Part A version 2.1.1, Part B version 2.1:
  ORTI defines an interface for debuggers/emulators to access and display system data. It consists of a syntax part (part A) and a part describing OSEK objects and attributes (part B). All versions earlier than 2.1 are not published internal versions.
  
  Binding Document  version 1.4 :
  Set up to provide an overall description of the OSEK/VDX specifications. Issues global to more than one specification are defined in the binding specification. This includes the overall glossary.
